Position Summary
The Finance & Accounting Reporting Manager is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports in compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable financial regulations. This role will oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to accounting standards.
The Reporting Manager also leads the SEC reporting function, maintaining strong internal controls and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
This position plays a key role in upholding financial integrity and supporting informed business decision-making.
Primary Responsibilities
+ Responsible for the preparation of internal and Board reporting and supporting analytics.
+ Responsible for the preparation of various SEC documents including quarterly and annual financial statements (Form 10-Q and 10-K) and Forms 8-K, 11-K, 14A (Proxy) and others.
+ Direct the preparation of all regulatory filings, including, but not limited to, quarterly call reports, FR Y-8, FR Y9-SP, FR 2900, etc.
+ Preparation of various monthly analyses.
+ Assist the Controller with the implementation of new accounting standards and manage the ongoing recording of applicable standards.
+ Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
+ Periodic review and maintenance of policies and procedures related to job responsibilities.
+ Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting across the Company.
+ Assist with preparation of all corporate tax related activities, including accruals estimated taxes, extensions and coordinating tax return preparation.
+ Committee membership as assigned.
Ancillary Responsibilities
+ Assign work, providing training and guidance, as necessary, to promote individual proficiency.
+ Manage assigned staff, including providing training and guidance, approving PTO and timecards and performing performance evaluations as required.
+ Verify and send wire transfers.
+ Respond to internal and external audit inquiries.
+ Participate in the implementation of automated software systems.
+ Backup Finance and Accounting staff as needed.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
+ CPA Preferred
+ 5+ years’ experience in accounting or finance field, banking experience preferred.
+ 3+ years’ experience in SEC reporting
+ People management/supervisory experience preferred.
+ Knowledge of GAAP, including preparation of financial statements, including Forms 10k, 10Q, 8K, and 11K
+ Knowledge of financial institution policies and procedures
+ Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, Prologue(or similar systems), Wdesk preferred
+ Strong Communication, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
