Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant
Job Description
The role involves preparing and maintaining patient charts, scheduling and coordinating appointments, assisting with patient-related inquiries, and providing medical support in various settings. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare and maintain patient charts, including insurance, registration, and laboratory reports.
+ Schedule and coordinate appointments, scans, and tests, and confirm appointments.
+ Assist patients, physicians, and others with patient-related matters via incoming calls.
+ Relay diagnostic test results to patients per physician's discretion and conduct follow-up calls.
+ Perform blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, and weight measurements on patients.
+ Room patients and record their medical history prior to being seen by the physician.
+ Maintain medical and office supplies in exam rooms and clerical areas.
+ Collect specimens and prepare them for external laboratories, including performing urinalysis.
+ Provide Medical Assistant support for other sites as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Phlebotomy experience.
+ Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
+ CPR certification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Certification through AAMA, RMA, or AMT.
+ 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
Work Environment
The position is based in a primary care clinic, offering a professional healthcare setting with standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with flexible start times and no weekend or holiday shifts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $25.00/hr.
