Are you detail-oriented, reliable, and ready to hit the ground running?

We’re looking for a Utility Inspector to join our team and work directly with one of our largest clients.

This is a field-based role where you’ll be going door-to-door inspecting water meters and infrastructure to ensure safety and compliance.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with construction or inspection experience who enjoys working independently and outdoors.

+ 📍 Locations: Scotch Plains/Middlesex & Middletown, NJ

+ 🕒 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM

•️ Key Responsibilities

+ Conduct door-to-door inspections of water meters and underground utilities

+ Document inspection results and take photo evidence using a mobile app

+ Monitor project progress and report findings

+ Review maps, reports, and technical data on-site

+ Ensure compliance with safety regulations and technical documentation

• What You’ll Need

+ Essential Qualifications

+ OSHA 10 Certification

+ At least 1 year of construction or field inspection experience

+ Strong communication skills for client and resident interactions

+ Reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed)

+ Preferred Skills

+ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

+ Comfortable using tablets, mobile apps, and digital tools

+ Strong writing and oral communication abilities

+ Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

+ Good interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and team members

• Work Environment

+ Field-based role using a tablet and mobile app for inspections

+ Travel between sites in Scotch Plains/Middlesex and Middletown, NJ

+ Inspections include water mains, pipes, and other infrastructure

+ Standard hours: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM, with overtime opportunities

• Pay & Benefits

+ Hourly Pay: $20.00 – $25.00/hr (based on experience)

+ Mileage Reimbursement for personal vehicle use

+ Overtime Pay available

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
