    We are seeking an outstanding Manufacturing Engineer who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing 3D and 2D mechanical designs and conducting related analyses specifically for flight-critical avionics systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering suited for both prototype and production-level designs.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop 3D and 2D mechanical designs for flight-critical avionics systems.

    + Conduct analyses related to mechanical and electronic systems.

    + Create work instructions and process improvements.

    + Integrate, test, and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic systems.

    + Utilize CAD tools such as Solidworks or NX/Unigraphics.

    + Implement continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices.

    + Support both development and production programs.

    Essential Skills

    + 4+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or equivalent.

    + 1+ year of experience with integrating, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical and electronic systems.

    + 1+ year of experience with Computer Aided Design tools such as Solidworks or NX/Unigraphics.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

    + Experience from internships or college organizations.

    + Technical writing experience, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and/or test plans.

    + Experience with various automated manufacturing processes, including assembly and test methods.

    + Familiarity with handling and tracking systems for continuous material flow to manufacturing lines.

    + Knowledge of QTP/ATP, functional testing, and/or environmental testing such as thermal, acoustic, or vibe.

    + Formal training/certification in Operational Excellence Systems (Lean, 5S, Six Sigma, etc.) is a plus.

    + Strong organizational, analytical, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.

    + Excellent communication and leadership skills.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This role is based onsite in Redmond, where you'll have the opportunity to contribute to building a satellite constellation.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $66.70 - $66.70/hr.
