Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Job Description
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing routine nursing care, accurate documentation, and thorough record reviews. This role involves overseeing medical information, ensuring follow-up actions are documented, performing chart reviews, and scheduling appointments.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct comprehensive chart reviews.
+ Ensure all documentation is accurate and follow-up actions are noted.
+ Assist in maintaining files related to the medical care of individuals as outlined in the Table of Contents.
+ Carry out charting functions for all medical matters related to individuals, including recording medical concerns and other pertinent information.
+ Complete and ensure the completion of routine tasks such as processing doctors’ orders, scheduling follow-up appointments and tests, maintaining ticklers, face sheets, BM charts, self-medication checklists, and scheduling necessary appointments.
Essential Skills
+ Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential.
+ Proficiency with electronic health records.
+ Experience in healthcare, patient care, medical documentation, and patient education.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ LPN License.
+ 3 years of LPN experience.
+ Interest in working with underserved communities.
Work Environment
This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM, totaling a 35-hour work week. Working with this reputable non-profit organization provides a valuable opportunity to gain experience and may lead to permanent employment. The organization values retaining good employees.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
