Job Title: Controls Engineer
Job Description
As a Controls Engineer, you will lead all phases of a controls project including concept development, research, estimation support, component selection, network and panel design, layout, device troubleshooting, PLC and HMI programming, on-site installation and debugging, and after-sales support.
Responsibilities
+ Lead concept and research phases of controls projects.
+ Provide estimation support for project components.
+ Select components and design networks and panels.
+ Troubleshoot devices and program PLCs and HMIs.
+ Install and debug systems on-site.
+ Offer support after sales to ensure customer satisfaction.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in PLC programming, specifically Allen-Bradley.
+ Experience with baggage handling systems.
+ Strong debugging and commissioning skills.
+ Knowledge of controls engineering and material handling.
+ Familiarity with FactoryTalk and HMI programming.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with VFDs and vision systems.
+ Knowledge of material-handling equipment.
+ Degree in Engineering or relevant experience.
+ Proficiency in Rockwell Software and Compactlogix.
+ Understanding of networking and Ethernet.
+ Familiarity with UL508a, NEC, and NFPA standards.
+ Experience with VFDs, servos, and sensors.
Work Environment
This role requires 50% travel, with a typical travel schedule of 10 days on and 4 days off, which can vary. Flexibility is essential. A per diem for meals is provided based on the GSA rate for the location. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $55.00/hr.
