Job Title: Process Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Process Technician to join our team and contribute to the efficient operation of our injection molding processes. This role involves setting molds, starting up and shutting down injection molding machines, and understanding basic machine functions to meet all specified requirements. The technician will also complete basic troubleshooting and escalate complex problems, write maintenance work orders, and document process parameters.
Responsibilities
+ Set molds and startup/shutdown injection molding machines according to work orders and setup parameter sheets.
+ Perform basic troubleshooting and escalate complex issues.
+ Write maintenance work orders for part quality and general machine issues.
+ Identify and document process parameters, including hot runner controls.
+ Maintain the machines and perform preventive maintenance during night shifts.
+ Actively participate in mold changes, troubleshooting, and work orders during day shifts.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience in injection mold equipment setup or operation for Process Tech 1.
+ Minimum of 3-4 years of process technician experience and independent machine running experience for Process Tech 2.
+ Ability to troubleshoot equipment independently.
+ Understanding of hot runner alarms and estop locations.
+ Familiarity with mold functions, machine HMI screens, and material loading vacuum systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Husky equipment is a plus.
+ Experience running an overnight shift or serving as a lead is advantageous.
+ Eager to learn more about maintenance and processing of the equipment.

Work Environment
The work environment consists of three production rooms, two of which are climate-controlled, while one is not. Employees will rotate between these rooms based on operational needs. The warehouse is hot in the summers and cool in the winter, requiring steel-toed boots or work boots, with shorts allowed. The dress code includes wearing blank t-shirts with no graphics. The facility operates with approximately 60 employees, focusing on teamwork to handle diverse job duties efficiently.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MUNDELEIN, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
