Job Title: Facilities Technician
Job Description
As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for the general maintenance of equipment, building, and grounds, ensuring that all facilities and equipment are clean, well-functioning, and orderly. You will fulfill service requests promptly, provide project insights as a subject matter expert, and operate as the Lead Project Manager when assigned. The role involves hands-on repair and maintenance work across various areas, including buildings, grounds, equipment, and environmental safety.
Responsibilities
+ Perform maintenance and repair of building equipment and grounds in a safe manner.
+ Develop and maintain accurate maintenance logs, calendars, schedules, and other administrative tools.
+ Actively participate in improving building and equipment efficiencies by continuously refining practices and procedures.
+ Use discretion and professionalism while working around donors, visitors, and employees to minimize disruptions.
+ Thoroughly clean up after completing work.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of facilities maintenance experience.
+ 1+ year of HVAC experience.
+ 1+ year of basic facilities electrical and plumbing experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Degree in Facilities Maintenance preferred.
+ HVAC or other Facilities Maintenance certifications preferred.
+ Commercial and/or Healthcare facility experience preferred.
+ Experience with Air Handlers and Boilers preferred.

Work Environment
This role is based in a large, clean, well-organized building in Milwaukee. The company has other locations throughout Wisconsin and several other states, but this position will primarily be in Milwaukee. Work hours are 1st shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with on-call duties required one out of five weekends. The dress code includes steel-toed shoes, jeans, and a plain t-shirt or long-sleeve shirt.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
