    Job Title: Pipe Welder

    Job Description

    The Pipe Welder will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, isometric drawings, and specifications to determine welding and installation requirements. The role involves welding pipe and structural components using SMAW (Stick) and GTAW (TIG) processes, performing layout, fabrication, and installation of piping systems, and ensuring high-quality standards for stainless steel and carbon steel piping systems.

    Responsibilities

    + Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and specifications.

    + Weld pipe and structural components using SMAW and GTAW processes.

    + Perform layout, fabrication, and installation of piping systems in various positions.

    + Conduct visual and mechanical inspections of welds to ensure compliance.

    + Install pipe supports, valves, and related components per project drawings.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to weld to a qualified procedure using SMAW and GTAW.

    + Proficiency in welding stainless steel and carbon steel.

    + Capability to read and understand blueprints.

    + 6G ASME test on 2-inch pipe required before starting work.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with large-scale industrial or commercial construction projects.

    + Familiarity with pipe welding codes and standards (e.g., B31.3).

    + NCCER Pipe Welder Certification or equivalent.

    Work Environment

     

    Work onsite at various new construction and industrial sites. The schedule is local work from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Initially, there may be travel requirements until more local projects commence. Travel will not exceed three-week stints, with per diem provided for travel outside of 50 miles.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.
