Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
The Maintenance Mechanic will perform work involving mechanical, electrical, and fabrication skills to ensure all production machines and support equipment remain in reliable repair. The role includes tasks such as repairing mechanical equipment, installing, aligning, and setting up new equipment, as well as programming PLCs and working with ladder logic and motor control systems in a 24/7 production facility.
Responsibilities
+ Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
+ Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines run smoothly and efficiently.
+ Inspect drives, motors, and belts; check fluid levels; replace filters; and perform other maintenance actions following checklists.
+ Utilize tools ranging from hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
+ Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
+ Diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrective measures using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
+ Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
+ Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
+ Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists, forklifts, hand tools, and power tools.
+ Plan and lay out repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and schematic diagrams.
+ Submit part orders and repair reports effectively and efficiently.
+ Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools and metering equipment.
+ Operate cutting torches or welding equipment.
Essential Skills
+ Electrical troubleshooting skills
+ Knowledge of three-phase electrical systems
+ Experience with relays and PLC troubleshooting
+ Understanding of gears, valves, and motors
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints
+ Mechanical skills for preventive maintenance
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with hand tools and power tools
+ Knowledge of precision measuring instruments
+ Familiarity with electrical and electronic testing devices
+ Ability to diagnose mechanical problems using technical manuals

Work Environment
Training will initially occur on the 2nd shift from 3 PM to 11 PM. Subsequently, the position will transition to a continuous operation shift following a 3-2-2 schedule, working either 7 AM to 7 PM or 7 PM to 7 AM.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Irvine, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $63000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
Company benefits will be given to the contractor upon time of offer. Package will be included
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Irvine,CA.
