Job Description

The foreman will lead a team of 3-4 crew members, including one operator and 2-3 laborers, focusing on smoothing dirt and rock using shovels, rakes, and other general hand tools. Candidates will be taught the skills needed to operate a remote dirt compactor and may be asked to run it. The role requires working on the ground and in dirt for the entirety of the project. Responsibilities

+ Smooth dirt and rock using shovels, rakes, and other hand tools.

+ Operate remote trench roller and compactors after training.

+ Use a shovel to work dirt and rock into low spots on the prep site.

+ Use a rake to smooth chunks of dirt and lower high spots on the prep site.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in construction labor.

+ Familiarity with tools like rake and shovel.

+ Experience with trench roller and dirt preparation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Minimum of 1 year of previous construction labor experience.

+ Experience working in dirt environments such as landscaping, dirt production work, or ditch crew.

Work Environment

The job is located at a large commercial data center construction site where construction is progressing rapidly. Steel structures are being erected, and the next phase involves preparing the dirt inside the structure for horizontal concrete pouring.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
