A Brief Overview
The Credit Analyst assists the Senior and Staff Credit Officers in the analysis of existing and prospective borrowers’ financial needs. The Analyst is responsible for completing the credit memoranda and provide insights and recommendations to the Senior/Staff Credit Officer and determines the appropriate authority level required for each transaction assigned and establishing its workflow. This role involves analyzing financial statements, industry trends and market conditions to make sound credit decisions. The Analyst also monitors compliance with Federal Regulations and Bank Policies, as well as the accuracy and completeness of Credit Approval Memorandums (CAM).
What You’ll Need to Succeed
• Analyzes and structures credit requests for new and existing borrowers within established performance standards on a timely basis.
• Prepares credit memoranda (CAM) with corresponding attachments, to accurately identify pertinent credit risks and provide applicable recommendations.
• Is responsible for reviewing and validating all financial data and calculations, and reviewing all pertinent terms and conditions contained in CAMs.
• Assist the Senior/Staff Credit Officer with the review and sign-off of all term sheets presented by the line of business
• Responsible for reviewing and presenting recommendations of daily Overdrafts and ACH requests.
• Responsible for the timely preparation of Management and BOD Credit Committees’ materials
• Responsible for the monthly monitoring of delinquency and covenant compliance of portfolio assigned
• Assist the Senior/Staff Credit Officer and Closing Department in the review and sign-off of closing exceptions and documentations.
• Maintains portfolio data and statistics updated for Department Head, follows up to assure compliance with Department’s quarterly/annual review schedule and other reporting requirements and assists in the preparation of presentations and special projects.

What You’ll Need
A bachelor’s degree in business (preferably in Finance and/or Accounting) or the equivalent combination of education and experience needed to be able to perform the functions of this job.
The incumbent must have a minimum of two years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the financial services industry. This experience must include analysis of financial statements, financial modeling, and projections
