A Brief Overview:
The Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for organizing and managing the loan to ensure all documents and information are complete to submit to Underwriting. Ensure all loans are compliant with policies, procedures, applicable regulations, local and federal (TILA-RESPA etc.), and investor and guarantor guidelines.
The objective of the role is to complete analysis of the loan application, gather required documentation based on the type of loan, interview borrowers and provide assistance and guidance within the loan process.
Understand and analyze Desktop Underwriting ( DU ) to validate loan eligibility.
Analyze income, assets and credit documentation.
Monitor new information received, validate loan costs and data accuracy to prepare and complete Loan Estimate disclosure in accordance with TILA- RESPA rule and banks policies.
Send all applicable disclosures throughout the loan process such as, Notice of Incomplete, Approved and Denied Letter.
Manage pipeline and maintain the notes in the system updated.
Follow up borrowers to complete documents. Maintain communication with all parties involved.
Collect and organize documents in the system and prepare the loan for Underwriting.
Discuss borrower’s loan conditions and clarify doubts.
Complete analysis of the collateral requirements to ensure collateral is clear. Any issue must be resolved prior to closing.
Discuss Appraisal value and property repairs with borrower if apply.
Discuss the terms and conditions of the loan
Provide support for the closing unit in regards the conditions to complete at closing.
Performs a variety of general office work in support to the unit's operational activities
Monitor loans that are ready for closing, manage closing conditions, contact borrower and request the review to Underwriting withing the timeframe established.
Complete necessary post consummation documentation and process. Also, collaborate with loan closer and loan officer to ensure loan closing.
What you’ll do
• Complete initial analysis, interview borrower and request documents
• Review loan costs and data accuracy to prepare and send Loan estimate disclosures
• Send all applicable disclosures
• Follow up Borrower and maintain status updated in the system
• Analyz credit, asset and income documentation
• Prepare the Loan to Underwriting

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Education
• Bachelors Degree Business Administration or related field or equivalent in experience
Knowledge
• Two to three years in relevant experience in Mortgage Process
• Two to three years in relevant experience in banking industry
