Summary:

The Security Safety Specialist is responsible for supporting the cultural development of Safety as a primary component of True North. This is accomplished through interdepartmental collaboration, employee safety initiatives, staff education, risk assessments and environmental inspections. The Security Safety Specialist is an educational resource for other security officers in the areas of regulatory compliance, environmental safety, and hazardous materials Code Orange Response. The specialist will be a backup to the Safety Manager and Senior Safety Technician, in the event of a safety incident occurring and neither one of the former is available for consult. Assists with safety education programs and safety committee work. Fosters positive working relationships at all levels of the organization to promote safety as a value.

What’s Required:

+ High school diploma or GED.

+ Possession of a valid driver's license.

+ 2 Year / Associate's Degree or cumulative experience in safety, criminal justice, or related field.

+ 2 years of demonstrated exemplary performance in a hospital, security/safety, law enforcement, military, TSA, Firefighter or related setting/experience.
