Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide all types of cleaning services throughout the facility in order to maintain a pristine and hygienic environment. To complete minor maintenance tasks and to provide security services by locking down the facility and responding to the safety concerns of the rest of the hospital staff.

Key Responsibilities:

+ CLEANING:

+ Strip and rewax VC tile floors.

+ Clean and buff VC tile floors.

+ Clean and vacuum carpets.

+ Clean all surfaces in bathrooms.

+ Clean and maintain ceramic tile floors.

+ Clean and disinfect patient care equipment and patient rooms.

+ Wash windows.

+ Wipe down and dust cabinets and counters.

+ Refill paper towel and soap dispensers.

+ Dispose of trash and biohazard waste.

+ Clean walls and baseboards.

+ Empty sharps containers.

+ Remove and clean ceiling vents.

+ Remove and rehang cubicle curtains for cleaning.

+ Inventory and order cleaning supplies.

+ MAINTENANCE:

+ Replace light bulbs.

+ Plunge sinks and toilets.

+ Replace ceiling tile.

+ Understand and operate PC based energy management system.

+ Understand and operate fire alarm panel.

+ Minor wall repair and repaints.

+ Adjust door closers and hardware.

+ Understand and use emergency cal lists.

+ Perform routine equipment repairs and adjustments.

+ SECURITY:

+ Lock exterior doors.

+ Unlock exterior doors.

+ Conduct periodic rounds of interior and exterior of facility.

+ Carry and use two way radio.

+ Assist staff in emergency situations.

Qualifications

+ High School Diploma required.

+ Minimum of one year experience in floor care and housekeeping, and experience in building repair and Plant Operations preferred.
