    Description

    We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented AR Collections Specialist to join our team. The primary role will be to manage and collect outstanding accounts receivable from customers, ensuring timely payments and maintaining accurate records.

    Responsibilities:

    + Reach out to current customers to collect payment on outstanding bills.

    + Communicate with previous clients and customers to request payment and arrange payment plans.

    + Collect payments from customers and accurately record them in the system.

    + Maintain bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets, updating information as needed.

    + Create reports and balance sheets that document overall profits and losses.

    + Update client accounts based on payment or contact information.

    + Make collection calls and/or correspond with customers about past due balances.

    + Provide customer service regarding collection issues, process customer refunds, process and review account adjustments, resolve client discrepancies and short payments.

    + Monitor and maintain assigned accounts, including customer calls, account adjustments, small balance write-offs, customer reconciliations, and processing credit memos.

    + Prepare and reconcile customer statements, process customer returns, and issue invoices.

    + Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.

    Qualifications:

    + Proven experience as an AR Collections Specialist or similar role.

    + Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes.

    + Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

    + Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    + Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
