Primary Responsibilities:

The Edge Impulse Infrastructure Engineering team builds scalable infrastructure that quickly transforms terabytes of customer data. We work hand in hand with our ML engineers to design systems to automatically find the best model architectures. We provide our community and customers with a rock-solid and scalable platform. We use an on-call rotation to maintain uptime.

• Improving the scalability, performance and resilience of our infrastructure used by over 1,000 enterprises and across >50,000 ML projects worldwide.

• Improving the stability of our platform and helping us place observability & monitoring and alerting at the center of our workflow.

• Setting up and managing per-customer on-premises infrastructure for enterprise customers on multiple cloud providers (e.g. AWS & Azure). Ensuring cloud infrastructure meets security compliance standards

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, and/or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture

• Experience working on cloud IaaS, PaaS or SaaS products

• Strong experience using cloud platforms and/or containerized application deployments

• Production experience managing Kubernetes (K8s) clusters

• Experience creating and/or managing production infrastructure with Terraform for AWS

• Experience with keys, secrets, and certificate management and principles

• Proficient in one or more programming languages (TypeScript, Python a plus)

Academic Credentials:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Pay range** **and Other Compensation & Benefits** **:

$121,400.00 - $202,200.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
