    Graphic Design Coordinator - Athletics

    Position Description:

    Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants.

    Major/Essential Functions:

    The Graphic Design Coordinator supports the creative direction and visual branding for Texas Tech Athletics. This position assists in the development and execution of high-quality digital and print content across multiple platforms to enhance the visibility of Red Raider Athletics. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker with a strong eye for design and a collaborative spirit.

     

    + Assist in developing and implementing visual concepts that align with the athletic department’s brand and communication goals.

    + Design engaging artwork for digital, print, in-venue, and facility use, including social media graphics, signage, posters, brochures, and email templates.

    + Organize and maintain graphic assets and brand elements for ease of access and consistent department-wide use.

    + Contribute to the execution of revenue-generating projects that support ticketing, marketing, communications, and development initiatives.

    + Help maintain a strategic calendar for graphics and promotional content, ensuring timely delivery aligned with departmental priorities.

    + Work closely with sport programs and internal units to fulfill graphic design requests that support ticket sales, events, and fan engagement.

    + Collaborate with university marketing and communications teams to ensure consistency in branding and messaging across campus platforms.

    + Assist with the coordination and oversight of student designers, providing guidance on projects and creative direction when needed.

    + Interface with vendors and printers to assist with the production of materials.

    + Support the creation of templates and branded content to streamline internal and external communications.

    + Ensure all designs meet Texas Tech University brand standards and NCAA/Big 12 compliance regulations.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, or related field.

    + 1–2 years of relevant experience in a professional design role, preferably within college athletics or sports marketing.

    + Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Motion Design is a plus.

    + Strong understanding of visual storytelling, brand identity, and social media trends.

    + Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    + Must be able to work overtime.

    + Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
