    The Department of Educational Psychology, Leadership, and Counseling in the College of Education at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track, Assistant or Associate Professor of School Psychology to begin January 1, 2026.

    Major/Essential Functions:

    In line with TTU’s strategic priorities to engage and empower a diverse student body, enable innovative research and creative activities, and transform lives and communities through outreach and engaged scholarship, applicants should have experience working with diverse student populations at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels within individual or across the areas of teaching, research/creative activity, and service.

    As a faculty member in School Psychology, you will be expected to:

    + Teach school psychology courses in areas related to intervention and prevention strategies, cognitive and academic assessment, advanced psychopathology, or other areas of expertise at the master and doctoral levels.

    + Supervise student research and practice in a manner that promotes their synthesis.

    + Establish and maintain a rigorous research agenda.

    + Seek extramural funding to support research and practice.

    + Actively participate in service for the program, department, college, and university committees.

    + Develop and foster meaningful partnerships with school districts, other colleges, and universities for engaged scholarship.

    The Department of Educational Psychology, Leadership, and Counseling is renowned for its robust graduate programs, which are gaining acclaim both nationally and internationally.     Faculty Qualifications:

    1. Completed doctorate in school psychology, educational psychology with a specialization in school psychology, or another field of psychology with specialized training in school psychology by January 2026.

    1. Licensure (or license eligible) as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) in the state of Texas within one year of hire;

    1. Evidence of high-quality teaching and mentorship at the graduate level. This may include experience with course instruction, candidate supervision, curriculum development, or substantial participation in professional development related to pedagogy;

    1. Demonstrated record of scholarly contributions in school psychology, as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, externally funded research, and clearly defined research agenda consistent with expectations with the rank of assistant or associate professor;

    1. Experience working as a school psychologist with high need populations in public schools.
