    Job Title:Kitchen Coordinator

     

    Employment Type: Per-Diem

    Job Summary:

    TheKitchen Coordinatoris responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations in alignment with FLACRA’s mission, vision, and values. This role ensures safe and compliant food preparation and service for residential clients. Candidates must be able to bend, stand for long periods, and lift up to 40 pounds.

    Must-Have Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

    + Valid NYS Driver’s License.

    + Experience in food service or a restaurant kitchen environment.

    Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

    + ServSafe Certification.

    + Food Safety Certification.

    Job Requirements:

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Oversee daily activities within the kitchen and dining room to maintain smooth operations.

    + Ensure proper food handling and preparation procedures are followed at all times.

    + Prepare and serve well-balanced meals for residential clients, meeting nutritional guidelines.

    + Train and supervise clients completing community service in kitchen and dining room tasks.

    + Maintain compliance with Health Department, OASAS, and Food Link regulations.

    + Participate in general, staff, in-service, and supervisory meetings held by the Agency.

    + Accommodate clients with special dietary needs as required.

    + Ensure kitchen staff adhere to approved menus and meal plans.

    + Perform additional duties as directed to support the kitchen and agency’s goals.

    Physical Requirements:

    + Ability to bend, stand, and remain on feet for extended periods.

    + Must be able to lift and carry items up to 40 pounds.

    Skills & Experience:

    + Strong organizational and time-management skills.

    + Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with a diverse team.

    + Knowledge of food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
