_Our client is a global, research-driven pharmaceutical focusing on treatment options for diseases and conditions for which there is no satisfactory treatment option to date. The company is looking for a_ **_Maintenance Technician III_** _to join the team._
**Location:** Fremont, CA
**Pay:** $40.00 - $43.00/hr.
**Shift:** 2nd Shift: Wednesday-Saturday, 12:00PM - 10:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
+ Perform technical support duties to ensure effective execution of maintenance work based on established priorities.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve issues across various site mechanical systems and technologies.
+ Execute and recommend logic changes, equipment upgrades, and process improvements to enhance operational performance.
+ Carry out maintenance activities, including preventive, corrective, and emergency repairs on mechanical, facility, and utility equipment.
+ Replace or repair mechanical and electrical components (e.g., motors, powered elements), including multi-phase motors.
+ Assist in start-up support and test protocol execution, either independently or under Engineering direction.
+ Accurately document all work performed, including service calls, repairs, and maintenance records in the Enterprise Asset Management System (EAM).
+ Analyze measurement data and ensure adherence to procedures and documentation standards.
+ Support reliability initiatives and continuous improvement efforts through accurate record-keeping and equipment history documentation.
+ Maintain adherence to cGMPs, SOPs, safety standards, and company policies.
+ Work effectively during off-shift periods, weekends, and emergency situations as required by plant operations.
Requirements:
+ **High School Diploma or equivalent required.**
+ Minimum **2 years of hands-on experience** in mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment repair in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of **instrumentation, measurement, and control systems** .
+ Experience with equipment start-ups and project support is preferred.
Qualifications:
+ Working knowledge of **schematics, P&ID drawings** , ISA symbols, and numbering systems.
+ Strong ability to **troubleshoot, maintain, and repair** complex mechanical systems.
+ Basic understanding of **electrical systems** and components.
+ Skilled in reading and following **Work Instructions, SOPs** , and maintenance documentation.
+ Good written and verbal communication skills.
+ Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative.
+ Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and a dynamic work environment.
+ Capable of making decisions within the scope of established procedures and policies.
Work Environment:
+ Work includes exposure to all weather conditions, sterile/clean environments, high-temperature areas (e.g., boiler rooms), and hazardous chemicals (with proper PPE and respiratory protection).
+ Required to **climb ladders/stairs** , work in awkward positions, and lift equipment and tools. Items over 50 lbs. typically require assistance.
+ Compliance with gowning requirements, safety protocols, documentation standards, and regulatory guidelines is mandatory.
+ Willingness to work **off-shifts and weekends** based on business needs.
