    Summary You will serve as an INFORMATION SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Security Division (Code C1110), Infrastructure Management Division (1100B), Corporate Operations Department (Code 1100), located at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC), of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR. Responsibilities You will support and assist with the assigned Command Information Security Program (INFOSEC), Controlled Unclassified Information Program (CUI) and Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information Program (NNPI) and policy functions. You will focus on the classification, declassification, and safeguarding of controlled unclassified information, sensitive and classified information within the Command and Command associated areas. You will coordinate with specialists to assess risk of loss, value of loss and the classification level appropriate to information sensitivity. You will make technical security determinations involving internal security programs of MARMC, as well as contracts administered by MARMC. You will have full insight into the scope of the Command's Mission and shall assist and support and maintain the INFOSEC, CUI, NNPI under the supervision of the Assistant Security Manager or designee. You will monitor compliance with the provisions of the Secretary of the Navy Information Security Program. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience and knowledge of DOD and USN security programs across a spectrum of security concepts, standards, and practices to independently review, analyze, and resolve complicated security challenges. Experience managing overlapping security requirements across facilities or geographic regions, negotiating agreements with external/internal entities. Experience, judgment, and familiarity with instructions for security collaboration and interpreting new policies for diverse environments. GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience interpreting and implementing security policies, providing guidance to the Command, management, and other security specialists, to help in resolving conflicts in security requirements for Information Security Program, Controlled Unclassified Information Program and Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information Program. Experience assisting and supporting and maintaining the INFOSEC, CUI, NNPI under the supervision of the Assistant Security Manager or designee. Experience supporting and sustaining all matters pertaining to NNPI classification, safeguarding, transmission, and destruction of unclassified and classified NNPI information. Experience integrating technical and administrative expertise to identify vulnerabilities within the Command and coordinating other technical specialists to complement security elements in a comprehensive security program. Experience using computer hardware/software, including programs for security databases, word processing, communications, etc. that are used in the security environment. Proficiency & ability to communicate both orally and in writing with all levels of command. Conduct command briefings and contractor locations.
