    Job Description:

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Applications Development Manager is responsible for application systems analysis, design, development and support of application software systems for Security Health Plan (SHP), both in-house developed solutions and commercial software solutions including McKesson’s care management software and TriZetto QNXT software. This individual assists with feasibility studies, cost/schedule estimates, and implementation and deployment planning. The Applications Development Manager is responsible for the leadership of the SHP application development team and all day-to-day activities.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION

    _For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation._

     

    **Minimum Required:** Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

    **Preferred/Optional:** None

    EXPERIENCE

    **Minimum Required:** Five years’ experience in applications software development. Demonstrated leadership ability.

    **Preferred/Optional:** Experience with TriZetto QNXT software. Experience with McKesson care management software. Experience in the healthcare industry.
