Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Corrections Facility

Start Date: ASAP or June 2, 2025

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Openings: 5 Positions Available

Shifts Available:

+ 12-Hour Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM (36/48 hour rotation)

+ 8-Hour Evening Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

Compensation:

+ Local LPNs (within 50 miles): $33/hour

+ Overtime Pay: $49.50/hour

+ Traveler Pay Packages:

+ 36 hours/week: $1,519/week

+ 40 hours/week: $1,560/week

+ 48 hours/week: $1,806/week

Job Description:

We are hiring experienced and reliable Licensed Practical Nurses to provide care in a correctional facility setting in Hookerton, NC. This is a great opportunity for LPNs who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about providing quality care to underserved populations.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

+ Monitor patient health and report changes to the RN or physician

+ Assist with daily living activities and patient hygiene

+ Maintain accurate documentation and follow facility protocols

+ Collaborate with correctional and healthcare staff to ensure safety and care standards

Requirements:

+ Active LPN license in North Carolina (or compact state)

+ Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (corrections experience preferred)

+ BLS certification (AHA)

+ Ability to pass background and drug screening
