Position Description
Serco is seeking an Associate Website Software Developer to support our Joint Staff Support team in Suffolk, Virginia. This role involves contributing to the delivery of collective joint training (CJT) and enhancing the operational effectiveness of joint forces. The developer will participate in the full Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC), working closely with military customers and CJT leads.
In this role, you will:
+ Research training objectives and scenarios to develop relevant website content.
+ Use web development tools and software to design and maintain user-friendly pages.
+ Collaborate with back-end developers and designers to enhance page usability.
+ Gather feedback from users and customers to develop functional solutions.
+ Draft requirement documents and user guides.
+ Create mockups and prototypes for review.
+ Ensure graphic standards and brand consistency.
+ Stay informed on emerging technologies.
+ Provide functional expertise in media product planning and preparation for military exercises.
+ Offer consulting support for synthetic media development.
+ Manage deadlines and adjust timelines as needed for content development.
+ Attend planning conferences, reviews, and coordination meetings.
+ Support media functions during the execution of global joint training events.
Qualifications
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or GED with at least 3 years of web communications and front-end development experience; OR
+ Bachelor’s degree with working knowledge of web communications and front-end development.
+ Experience with markup languages (SGML, HTML, XML).
+ Proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, and jQuery.
+ Familiarity with browser testing and debugging tools.
+ Understanding of the full web development process including design and deployment.
+ Knowledge of layout design and aesthetics.
+ Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks.
+ Familiarity with Adobe Suite, Photoshop, and content management systems.
+ Willingness to travel up to 25% CONUS/OCONUS.
+ Active DoD Secret security clearance.
+ Ability to obtain a valid U.S. Passport.
+ Capability to work on-site in Suffolk, Virginia.
