Position Description

Serco is looking for a talented and motivated Associate Software Engineer to join our Global Battle and Mission Readiness Division in Orlando, Florida. In this exciting entry-level role, you will contribute to the design, development, and testing of mission-critical software systems supporting the defense sector. You will work alongside experienced engineers to solve complex problems and drive innovation in support of U.S. national security.

In this role, you will:

+ Design, develop, document, test, and debug application software and systems involving logical and mathematical solutions.

+ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including hardware engineers, to plan and develop electronic data processing systems.

+ Analyze user needs and system capabilities to resolve program objectives, outputs, and data acquisition methods.

+ Prepare operating instructions and support the development of compilers, utility programs, and operating systems.

+ Ensure adherence to software development standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

Qualifications

+ Currently completing or recently completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree from an accredited institution.

+ Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).

+ Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

To be successful in this role, you will have:

+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

+ Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative engineering team.

+ Interest in advancing defense and mission-readiness technologies.

Additional desired experience and skills:

+ Overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
