You can help us ensure data quality becomes a sustainable competitive differentiator for Zions Bancorporation. This team is an integral part of the Enterprise Data Office division and is working on industry leading innovation to enhance business capabilities through data quality.

     

    As a Data Quality Analyst on the Data Quality Management team, you will have the opportunity to apply a wide range of creative and technical skillsets to work on projects and processes that are critical to the company’s success. By joining this team, you will make a difference in the lives of our customers and employees by helping to ensure the data being used to drive decisions is used with confidence and carries a high level of trust.

    Responsibilities:

    + Participate in Data Governance program activities and processes to include Data Quality Management (primary), Data Stewardship (supporting), and Metadata Management (supporting).

    + Perform on-going data profiling and data quality activities to include deep dive analysis on large datasets and complex data flows across multiple enterprise applications

    + Define data quality requirements; evaluate and identify where system enhancements are required to address data quality issues, e.g., code fixes, source system changes, etc.

    + Help define business rules, data quality rules, and exception handling processes as needed.

    + Monitor data quality results to identify trends, issues and help prioritize improvement efforts.

    + Design reports and dashboards on Data Quality for all levels of audiences and stakeholders.

    + Support data quality issue resolution and collaboration with data providers, data stewards, and business professionals to include: Data quality improvement plans, communications, and tasks required for data quality initiatives.

    + Support automation opportunities for Data Quality improvement processes.

    Qualifications:

    + 6+ years of experience in Data Quality Management projects

    + Experience in data profiling, data quality rule assessment, data cleansing, and data validation techniques

    + Effective analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills

    + Advanced knowledge of SQL

    + Experience with complex process analysis and technical implementations of data solutions

    + Experience with data quality and business intelligence tools

    + Bachelor’s degree in information management, data analytics, computer science, finance or other related fields. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications

    + Effective communication and time management skills, able to manage competing priorities and work in a team environment

    + Experience with Ataccama One Data Quality is a plus

    + Experience with Collibra’s Business Glossary is a plus

    + Common knowledge of the banking industry, loan and deposit systems and regulatory reporting requirements is a plus

    This Data Engineer position is currently not eligible for employment visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B visa). This includes, for example, situations where a candidate may have temporary work authorization while enrolled in school or upon graduation (e.g., CPT, OPT) but would need H-1B visa sponsorship within a few years of employment in order to maintain employment eligibility.
