BECOME A US FOODS® DRIVER!

At **US FOODS®** , our CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers start with a base hourly rate of **$32.43** per hour. Once component pay begins, compensation shifts to a structure based on miles, cases, and stops, with hourly pay provided for any downtime. We are seeking Delivery Truck Drivers who are eager to challenge themselves, grow their careers, and enjoy the benefits of being part of the US FOODS® family.

Main Ingredients of the Job

+ Lead with safety at the forefront

+ Local and Layover routes available ( **_routes are bid by driver tenure_** )

+ Orders are single pallet picked so no digging at deliveries.

+ Customer orders are selected on plastic pallets

+ For ease of unloading all route trailers are equipped with liftgates

+ All routes are dispatched with assigned powered pallet jacks

+ Tractors and route trailers are assigned by driver tenure

+ All delivery routes start between the hours of 5:00PM and 10:00PM

+ 4- and 5-day schedules available with consecutive days off

+ 5 _th_ and 6 _th_ day “extra work” is available with paid incentives

+ Perform backhauls and shuttles as required

+ Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections

+ All other tasks as requested by management

Physical Requirements

+ Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required

+ Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required

What You Bring to the Table

+ **Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse***

+ Must be at least 21 years of age

+ Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications

+ Minimum of six months commercial driving experience; **one year of food service experience preferred.**

+ Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations

+ Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The anticipated pay structure includes a base hourly rate of $32.43 per hour. Once component pay begins, hourly pay is replaced with compensation based on miles, cases, and stops. Additionally, hourly pay will be provided for any downtime.
