Supervising Senior Maintenance Engineer
What You’ll Do
+ Coordinate with Management as Project lead on complex projects affecting the entire station.
+ Responsible for developing and executing project plan
+ Responsible for setting benchmark goals and achieving them.
+ Responsible for Project documentation in AutoCAD or Visio and for setting up a training plan for new equipment installations.
+ Support and maintain studio systems, including cameras, lighting, audio/video routing, and broadcast core infrastructure
+ Troubleshoot and repair ENG systems (e.g., Sony cameras, bonded cellular TVU packs, Ross Overdrive) and support ENG and remote production vehicles
+ Maintain remote and transmitter site equipment, including RF systems (low to high power experience is a plus)
+ Collaborate with Engineering and News teams to keep broadcast systems running smoothly and reliably
+ Provide basic IT support: setting up and maintaining desktops, printers, and mobile devices
+ Respond to help desk requests, troubleshoot user issues, and ensure systems are secure and up-to-date
+ Work remote productions and maintain
What You’ll Bring
+ Strong understanding of broadcast systems and signal flow
+ Working knowledge of RF transmission, IP-based media workflows, and field production tools
+ Experience with Windows, Linux, and Mac OS platforms
+ Familiarity with the OSI model and basic networking concepts
+ Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and signal paths
+ Proficiency with documentation tools (AutoCAD or Visio preferred)
+ Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
+ Mechanical aptitude and basic soldering skills
+ Valid driver’s license; ability to work on ladders and in varied environments (studio, field, remote sites)
Requirements/Qualifications:
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in broadcast maintenance engineering
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
+ Ability to work in tight spaces, behind racks
+ This position is covered under a collective bargaining agreement between the Company and the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE)
+ Successful candidate will be required to join IATSE if not already a member and remain a member of the union in good standing
+ Must be willing to work overtime, evenings, and on weekends with short notice, and respond to emergency calls
+ Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Compensation - $69.75 per hour
