The Surgical Sterile Processing Department at Union Health is looking for a Tech Case Cart team member for the Terre Haute campus. The Sterile Processing team plays an integral role by ensuring the medical/surgical supplies and equipment, both sterile and, are cleaned, prepared, processed, stored, and issued for patient care

Tech Case Cart/Processing Essential Job Duties:

+ Collaborates with the Team Leaders and the O.R. Team regarding the operative procedure, special instruments and plan of care.

+ Maintains patient confidentiality.

+ Assumes responsibility for collection and assembling of supplies for surgical procedures.

+ Assumes responsibility for the maintenance of a clean and safe surgical environment.

+ Cares for surgical instruments, equipment and supplies correctly.

+ Washes

+ Wraps

+ Sterilizes

+ Assembles instrument trays and/or special equipment according to standard procedures.

+ Cleans

+ Checks

+ Tests

+ Labels

+ Wraps

Education, Training & Experience

+ High School Graduate preferred.

+ Two years experience in a surgical environment, familiar with surgical procedures and instrument sets, basic computer knowledge.

+ Must obtain certification CRCST and maintain following 2 years of employment.
