PART TIME RESEARCH SCHOLAR

New York University Tandon School of Engineering

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a Part Time Research Scholar to work with a CSE Faculty Member.

The CSE department conducts ongoing research programs in a wide range of areas related to computer science theory, cyber security, analysis, visualization data, computer games, internet and web research.

Expectations

Candidates will be responsible for projects involved with areas of research by their faculty advisor. The successful candidate will have a background in the study of computer science as exemplified by a strong undergraduate and/or master’s degree program. Previous experience is desired.

Salary range

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this part time position is $39.23 depending on the candidate’s experience and qualification. This appointment would require a work schedule of approximately 20 hours per week.

Expected start date and period of employment

Expected start date is June 1, 2025 This position is expected to be for 3 months.

Candidates should have at least an MS in Computer Science or a related field. Candidates will be required to present eligibility to work in the United States.
