    1st Shift | $35–$45/hr | Arlington, TX

    About the Role

    We’re seeking a skilled **SIL Engineering Technician – MV-75** to support high-impact aviation research and development programs at our **Flight Research Center in Arlington, TX** . Working on a **1st shift, 9x8 schedule** , you’ll play a critical role in the assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of state-of-the-art test systems that directly support cutting-edge aerospace innovation.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    In this hands-on role, you’ll be part of a dynamic team responsible for maintaining and enhancing hardware-in-the-loop simulation environments. Your day-to-day will include:

     

    + Fabricating complex interconnecting cables and harnesses using precise engineering schematics

    + Troubleshooting and repairing test bench setups, wiring, and simulation lab infrastructure

    + Reading and interpreting aircraft-level wiring and mechanical drawings to build and install systems

    + Installing and testing data interfaces, including ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, Ethernet, and more

    + Working with fiberoptic cabling and reflective memory hardware for real-time simulation data

    + Using test equipment to isolate and resolve hardware issues in a fast-paced R&D environment

    + Applying ESD and FOD best practices to ensure a safe and clean workspace

    + Lifting, moving, and working in confined areas with precision and safety

     

    What You Bring

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

    + High School diploma (Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience preferred)

    + 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in aerospace, simulation, or similar industries

    + Proficient in soldering to J-STD standards and assembling aircraft-grade cable systems

    + Experience with serial data interfaces and troubleshooting complex wiring setups

    + Strong understanding of technical schematics and diagrams

    + Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and working in confined spaces when needed

    + Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance if required

    + Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset

    Preferred Experience:

    + Military background in aircraft systems maintenance and support

    + Experience with fiberoptic installation and reflective memory systems

    **Pay Details:** $35.00 to $45.00 per hour
