GENERAL SUMMARY:

+ Supports endoscopic procedures by preparing the equipment, field and managing specimens.

+ Responsibilities:

+ Prepares patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, appropriately positioning patient and cleaning/shaving/numbing testing sites as appropriate.

+ Interprets, describes and reports test results. Recognizes recording errors and artifacts and reacts appropriately.

+ Monitors patient prior to, during and after procedures and promptly reports any abnormal findings in patient's condition.

+ Prepares and maintains equipment, supplies and lab area.

POSITION SUMMARY:

+ Henry Ford Providence Hospital - Southfield

+ 7:00am - 3:30pm

+ Weekend and call required

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

+ High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. No additional preferences.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

+ BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Endoscopy experience
