    Position Description:

    The Senior Director of the Office of Clinical and Pro Bono Programs (OCP) will serve as key deputy to the Associate Dean for Academic Programs, working closely on developing, strengthening and managing the clinical academic and pro bono programs, strategy, and operations. This position will manage a team of senior level direct reports including practicing attorneys.

    As a Senior Director you will:

    STRATEGIC AND OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT OF OCP

    + Partner with Associate Dean to manage annual strategic planning process for OCP.

    + Oversee operational management and track progress towards annual and multi-year strategic plan.

    + Coordinate other OCP team related operations such as team meetings, annual retreat.

    + Direct program data analysis and reporting with Assistant Director for Curriculum Planning and Registration and Communications Coordinator.

    + Assist Associate Dean with Human Resource issues related to personnel in the in-house clinics and Student Practice Organizations (SPOs).

    ACADEMIC PROGRAM

    + Lead strategy or management projects related to academic program as assigned by the Associate Dean.

    + Support agenda and implementation of the Clinical Committee.

    + Oversee the Externship Program through strategic partnership with the Director of Externships.

    + Oversee the HLS Independent Clinical Program in conjunction with the Director of Externships and the Attorney Advisor for the LL.M. Program, including meeting with students to assist them to develop viable projects that meet the program requirements.

    + Coordinate with International Legal Studies Program regarding funding for students with approved international projects.

    + Advise students on clinic selection and registration, both on an individual basis and in group settings.

    STUDENT PRACTICE ORGANIZATIONS

    + Work with Clinical Faculty and Instructors who supervise the legal work of the SPOs, as well as student leaders, providing support and resources to strengthen SPO work, including developing annual and multi-year priorities for SPO program.

     

    In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, will be required to perform other duties as necessary.
