    The Role

     

    Responsible for driving the execution of short- to mid-term product strategies within the Well Service market. This role collaborates closely with internal technical and business partners, as well as dealer networks, to ensure the successful launch of products and services via the marketing deliverables of the NPI process. Key focus areas include cross-functional coordination, market readiness, and strategic alignment to meet business objectives and enhance customer satisfaction.

    Job** **Duties/Responsibilities** **include, but are not limited to:

    + Analyze and validate marketing requirements, converting them into functional specifications and securing stakeholder sign-off.

    + Plan and lead critical NPI marketing functions, including product specification development, launch coordination, and lifecycle management.

    + Communicate technical product features and capabilities effectively to both internal stakeholders and external partners.

    + Maintain and ensure accuracy of all product marketing materials, including spec sheets, product pages, virtual tours, and visuals.

    + Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for each product vertical, including market segmentation, rollout planning, and marketing strategy alignment.

    + Collaborate with dealers and customers to establish and manage Field Follow Agreements, ensuring feedback loops and continuous improvement.

    + Fosters strong customer relationships via delivery on commitments, open communication, and on-going feedback/improvement.

    + Advises others on creating customer focused environments in various scenarios.

    + Anticipates customer needs, focusing efforts to proactively meet needs and exceed customer expectations.

    + Measures and observes customer satisfaction levels to ascertain and implement service improvement alternatives.

    + Communicates and models the criticality of customer focus as an organizational strategy.

    **Effective Communications** : Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

    Level Working Knowledge:

    + Delivers helpful feedback that focuses on behaviors without offending the recipient.

    + Listens to feedback without defensiveness and uses it for own communication effectiveness.

    + Makes oral presentations and writes reports needed for own work.

    + Avoids technical jargon when inappropriate.

    + Looks for and considers non-verbal cues from individuals and groups.

    **Relationship Management** : Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

    Level Working Knowledge:

    + Provides prompt and effective responses to client requests and interactions.

    + Monitors client satisfaction levels on a regular basis.

    + Alerts own team to problems in client satisfaction.

    + Differentiates the roles and responsibilities in a business relationship.

    + Works with clients to address critical issues and resolve major problems.

    **Technical Writing** : Knowledge of technical writing processes, considerations and applications; ability to write materials for both technical and non-technical audiences.

    Level Working Knowledge:

    + Interviews experts to understand the professional information of specific subject matter.

    + Drafts, corrects and finalizes technical writing tasks independently.

    + Assesses the needs of technical and non-technical audiences prior to writing.

    + Adheres to company documentation and quality standards that are related to technical writing.

    + Cooperates with other technical writers to complete large writing projects.

    **Value Selling** : Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.

    Level Working Knowledge:

    + Uses 'value selling' techniques to successfully engage customers.

    + Researches the customer's industry and organization before attempting sales calls.

    + Discusses issues and considerations regarding current 'value selling' practices and recommends potential improvements.

    + Quantifies proposed costs, benefits and value in customer terms.

    + Defines and documents value-added activities and their benefits to customers beyond the initial sales transaction.

    + Relocation is **not** available

    + Up to 25% travel

    + This role is fully onsite in Houston, TX or Lafayette, IN

    Summary Pay Range:

    $110,520.00 - $165,840.00

     

    Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
