Experience & Requirements

+ Active RN license in Alabama/Multistate with unrestricted/non probationary status.

+ Three (3) years of experience Management/Supervisory RN required.

+ Experience in setting large team schedule required

+ Experience using Excel, Word, and Outlook required

+ Requires critical thinking, organizational, decisive judgment, communication, good patient service skills.

+ Must be able to handle multiple tasks, be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate actions as needed.

+ Corrections Experience preferred.

+ Specialty certification desired (i.e., CCHP, ACHE, etc.)

+ Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

+ Must always follow YesCare and departmental policies and procedures.

+ Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirement.

Responsibilities

Limestone Correctional Facility

Annual Salary: $94,650

Below is a list of your responsibilities as an **Assistant Director of Nursing** with YesCare:

+ Functions as the senior clinical nurse for their respective area of responsibility.

+ Supervises the delivery of nursing services provided to the inmates within their areas of responsibility daily.

+ Assists / Develops monthly staffing schedule one month in advance to their HSA and the DON, works with the Charge Nurses to adjust their daily personnel needs, provides any personnel changes to include call outs, scheduling trades, etc., to the HSA and the DON.

+ Visits each area of clinical responsibility at least once a week to observe the performance of the staff and to discuss ongoing programs and problems.

+ Ensures that each area of clinical responsibility provides the state required data to Infection Control in a timely manner.

+ Plays an active role in continuous quality improvement activities or projects.

+ Assists with monitoring and tracking of patient grievances in a timely and complete manner and assists the Charge Nurses with answering inmate grievances in a similar manner.

+ Puts into operation and enforces current policies and procedures, makes recommendations to the DON for any updates or changes needed in the policies and procedures.

+ Ensures new staff is scheduled for proper orientation prior to routine staffing assignments.

+ Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

+ Other duties as assigned by management.
