General Summary/Responsibilities:

Status: Full-time: *40 Hours per week (80 hours per pay period)

Facility: Miami Valley Hospital

The Infusion and Compounding Pharmacy Manager will be responsible for managing all outpatient pharmacy infusion services including USP compliance, staff management, operational workflows, medication assistance, and prior authorization, and investigational drug services.

All responsibilities are accomplished in collaboration with the pharmacy leadership/management team under the direction of the System Vice President of Pharmacy Services, System Director of Pharmacy Clinical Services and Regional and Senior Pharmacy Managers.

Qualifications

Education

+ **Minimum Level of Education Required:** Master’s degree

+ **Type of Degree:** B.S. Pharm or PharmD

+ **Area of Study or Major:** Pharmacy

Licensure/Certification/Registration

+ **Preferred Experience:** Completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 or PGY2 pharmacy residency in health system pharmacy administration and leadership or equivalent work experience

Knowledge/Skills

+ Managerial skills necessary to plan, organize, direct and control the pharmacy operational activities

+ Ability to work in a complex team environment and to collaborate with both external and internal professionals and other customers

+ Appreciation of age-specific needs of pediatric to geriatric populations with regards to drug therapy and services

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ Computer skills – word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint®, drug databases

+ Familiarity with various software, equipment, and technology necessary to provide pharmacy services

+ Able to demonstrate skills in prioritization, problem solving, vision setting, team building, decision making, time management, mentorship, change management, scholarship, teaching, and strategic planning

+ Knowledge of pharmacy services within an ever-changing health care environment

+ Knowledge of laws and regulations regarding pharmacy

+ Positive, self-starter with a willingness to try new ideas

+ Good judgment and ability to act decisively at the right time

+ Ability to develop consensus and promote teamwork

+ Ability to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction for employees, patients, visitors, physicians, and external stakeholders
