The Perioperative services Unit Secretary – Technician candidate must have exceptional communication, organizational and customer service skills. The ideal candidate will have hospital or related experience and assist the OR clinical care team with quality care for elective/emergent surgical patients. The Sec-Tech will efficiently assist the OR clinical care team with general secretarial, registration and patient care technical support in a fast-paced setting, while placing a high priority on safety, customer service and infection prevention.

Education Education: High School Diploma required. College preferred. Ability to read, write and speak English.

Experience

Computer Skills: Microsoft Word and Excel. Epic preferred. Clinical Skills: Provided by department.

+ Must possess excellent customer service/organizational skills

+ Preferred candidate should have a minimum of one year of acute care unit associate or sec-tech experience

+ Candidate must be able to work in fast paced high volume department.

+ Must be flexible to work rotating weekends

+ Medical Terminology preferred

Epic / media manager / Microsoft Word / Excel experience preferred
