Sonalysts, Inc. is seeking a Surface Warfare Analyst with operational combat system and Model Based Systems Engineering experience supporting the U.S. Navy specializing in the operational employment of Surface Ship Combat Systems and Training requirements. The successful candidate should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, be able to think creatively and solve problems as well as collaborate effectively with senior government and military staff.

Required Qualifications:

+ Former Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist (ESWS), Surface Warfare Officer (SWO), Limited Duty Officer (LDO) or Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) with a minimum of 6 years US Navy Active duty experience.

+ Combat Systems experience related to Aegis Combat and Weapons Systems or Ship Self Defense System (SSDS).

+ Familiarity with shipboard training requirements and systems.

+ U.S. Citizenship, possessing an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance*.

Desired, but not required:

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited academic institution

+ Model based Systems Engineering Experience with the use of CAMEO systems modeler software.

+ Demonstrated experience in any of the following areas:

+ Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) experience

+ Completion of ship deployment in support of Strike Group operations

+ Test and Evaluation experience

+ Tactics development and evaluation

+ Background in training environment (Navy Instructor/Master Training Specialist (MTS))

+ Specialty fleet systems qualifications

*Maintaining a U.S. Government security clearance involves periodic comprehensive background checks. Candidates are eligible for a clearance if they have demonstrated sound financial management (including good credit) over time, are free of criminal records, have limited foreign contacts or ties, and other factors indicative of a position of trust to protect information sensitive to the U.S. Government.
