    BECOME A SCANNER SUPERVISOR AT PRIMEFLIGHT!

     

    The Scanner Supervisor plays a key role in coordinating scanning operations in the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in single-piece scanning. This includes training staff on scanning equipment, supervising daily processes, resolving scanning issues, and coordinating with other departments to maintain safety and compliance. The supervisor also maintains records and prepares performance reports.

    WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS A SCANNER SUPERVISOR

    • Oversee the daily scanning performance of warehouse employees

    • Train and mentor warehouse personnel in the use of scanning equipment and security protocols

    • Monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of scanning procedures

    • Ensure compliance with all warehouse security regulations and guidelines

    • Conduct regular performance evaluations of warehouse staff

    • Coordinate with other warehouse departments for streamlined operation procedures

    • Implement and enforce safety measures around scanning equipment

    • Brings their “A” game every day with energy and enthusiasm, respect for their team, and the highest regard for safety

    • May be assigned other duties as required

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • 18 years of age or older

    • Eligible to work in the United States

    • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role or airport operations

    • Proven leadership and team management skills

    • Advanced proficiency with electronic scanning devices and computer systems

    • Great attention to detail

    • Strong customer service skills

    • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment

    • Knowledge of airport safety and security regulations

    • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

    • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents

    • Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices

    • Pass a background check and drug screen

    • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)

    • Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays

    • Must be able to crawl and crouch, at times, in confined tight spaces

    • Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, kneel

    • Must be able to climb and work at elevated heights

    • Exposure to moderate and at times high noise levels

    • Exposure to Biohazards and/or Chemicals

    • Exposure to outdoor elements

    • Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms

    • Tasks may involve repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers

    • Specific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point);

     

    depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
