    Job Summary** **:

    Critical to the effectiveness of Roper St. Francis Healthcare’s quality efforts and key to the commitment to providing an excellent patient experience, Roper St. Francis Physicians Partners will provide a centralized referral/RN triage center to assist physicians and patients in accessing quality physicians and facilities. Responsible for supervising activities of the RSFH Contact Center related to the processing of referrals and clinical support. This position will also be responsible for patient triage via telephone in accordance with established protocols. Will lead the team of RNs who provide prescription refill support for physicians via EMR, based on written protocols. Services offered include but are not limited to assisting patients and providers with appropriate referral coordination, scheduling of appointments, and providing healthcare related information. The supervisor interviews, hires and trains team of referral specialist and RN’s.

    Minimum Qualifications** **:

    **Education and Experience:** ASN or BSN from accredited nursing school; Registered nurse with an active license in the state of South Carolina.

    **Licensure/Certification:** Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina or holds a current compact/multi-state license as a Registered Nurse in a recognized NCSBN Compact State and is not a permanent resident of SC. Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.

    Knowledge/Skills:

    Supports a team environment and attends departmental meetings. Consistently strives for the importance of patient safety and education of clinical staff. Competent in the use of Word, Excel, and other computer programs for care coordination reporting.

    Other:

    Requires the ability to act as a liaison between physicians, practice manager and clinical staff. Able to prioritize competing priorities with an eye toward system-wide needs. Knowledge of various education options to recommend the best solution to gain performance outcomes. Demonstrates leadership competencies and skills for the position, including excellent communication, organizational skills, customer service, continuous quality improvement, relationship development, results orientation, team building, motivating employees, performance management, and decision making.
