Position Overview:
The Director, Clinical Operations leads diverse Clinical functions, including regulatory compliance, clinical protocols, quality assurance, credentialing, and similar functions. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Practice Practitioner (NP, PA, or APRN), M.D., or D.O. with a specialization in laser medicine and/or energy based devices. The candidate will possess exceptional triage skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, and a deep understanding of clinical protocols. This role is critical in maintaining our commitment to quality care and compliance in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Contract and Regulatory Management:
+ Maintain and update the RMD contract database and state regulations database to ensure compliance and alignment with current standards.
+ Oversee the management of RMD relationships to foster collaboration and effective communication.
+ Communicate with leadership and teams on any changes
2. Support and Escalation:
+ Serve as a Tier 3 support point for clinical inquiries and issues, providing expert guidance and escalation as needed.
+ Manage the incident register and reporting, ensuring timely documentation and resolution of clinical incidents.
3. Clinical Protocol Compliance:
+ Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and compliance management across all practices.
+ Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on clinical matters, providing insights and recommendations for best practices.
4. Vendor and Quality Assurance Management:
+ Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure quality service delivery.
+ Oversee quality assurance initiatives in alignment with LSO/ANSI standards to uphold high-quality care.
5. Team Leadership:
+ Manage and mentor a team of Clinical Case Managers, fostering a collaborative environment focused on patient outcomes.
+ Support the development and management of Institutional Review Board (IRB) proposals and processes.
6. Meeting Support and Credentialing:
+ Facilitate support for Clinical Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, ensuring effective communication and follow-up on action items.
+ Own the Removery credentialed provider offering, ensuring all providers meet established standards for care delivery.
Qualifications:
+ Current and active licensure as an Advanced Practice Practitioner (NP, PA, APRN), M.D., or D.O. with a focus on laser medicine and/or skin health with no restrictions, suspensions or pending disciplinary actions related to licensure.
+ Professional licensure in multiple US states, preferably including Texas, New York and California with compact license preferred.
+ Proven experience in clinical management, triage, and prioritization in a healthcare setting.
+ Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality assurance standards.
+ Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Skills:
+ Experience with database management and reporting systems.
+ Familiarity with clinical protocol development and compliance.
+ Background in vendor management and quality assurance processes.
