At Collins Aerospace, we’re seeking a Product Line Architect to lead strategic development efforts for our FACE Applications team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.     What YOU will do:

    + You will serve as the primary technical point of contact for FACE Application development, driving strategy and ensuring alignment across the product line.

    + You will collaborate with Product Line and Program VSLs to shape architecture, support pursuits, and develop responses to RFIs/RFPs.

    + You will lead technical decisions, ensuring high-quality deliverables and compliance with regulatory and certification standards.

    + You will represent the FACE Applications portfolio in bid reviews, design approvals (DARs), and technical proposals to internal and external stakeholders.

    + You will work across multidisciplinary teams and support the evolution of mission-critical flight software capabilities including MFMS-1000 and ARR-7000.

    + You will travel occasionally (up to 35%) to collaborate with domestic and international partners and customers.

    What YOU will learn:

    + How to strategically architect and influence next-generation software in alignment with the Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA).

    + Deep exposure to emerging platforms and transformational defense programs leveraging FACE, MFMS-1000, ARR-7000, and TSS technologies.

    + Leadership in technical direction-setting and decision-making across a diverse portfolio of mission-critical avionics software.

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    + Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

    + U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

    + Operational knowledge and experience with F.A.C.E. standards and applications.

    + Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including C/C++, Java, and/or Python.

    + Proficiency with Unix/Linux environments and familiarity with Git, Jira, and Bitbucket.

    + Understanding of DO-178B/C regulatory and certification processes.

    + Prior experience in deliverable, customer-facing software development.

    + Demonstrated leadership in complex, systems-based environments.

    The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

     

    RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
