We are seeking a skilled and dependable Facilities Technician to join our team at a leading manufacturing metal fabrication facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing basic preventative maintenance, facilities/building upkeep, and general maintenance tasks. This role requires strong knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic equipment, as well as experience with welding and metal fabrication.
This position requires working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
This is primarily a first shift position, but must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, to meet facility needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Perform routine preventative maintenance on mechanical and pneumatic equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
+ Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs, potential safety hazards, and areas requiring repair or improvement.
+ Carry out general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other building upkeep activities.
+ Utilize welding and metal fabrication skills to repair or fabricate parts and equipment as needed, ensuring proper functionality and durability.
+ Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the facility, including groundskeeping duties as required.
+ Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
+ Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, welding projects, and inventory of supplies and equipment.
+ Collaborate with other team members and departments to support production and operational needs.
+ Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
+ Assist in the setup, installation, and teardown of equipment and machinery as required for production needs.
+ Provide support for facility-related projects, renovations, and improvements as directed by the Site Manager.
+ The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, and color vision.
