    Responsibilities

    Ensures safe and efficient patient transport within the hospital, this role encompasses a variety of responsibilities. These include transporting patients for admissions, room transfers, testing procedures, and discharges. Additionally, the role includes transporting patients to the morgue. Furthermore, this position is responsible for the timely distribution of clinical equipment, carts, and other supplies to and from designated areas.

     

    1. Safely and efficiently transport in-patients internally to and from various hospital departments as needed, including:

    2. Patient testing areas (e.g., radiology , cardiology, etc.)

    3. Other designated locations within the hospital

    4. Utilize TeleTracking transportation software to schedule and track patient movements, ensuring timely and accurate patient transfers

    5. Operate standard hospital equipment, including beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs, with proficiency and care.

    6. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients during transport

    7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital staff to ensure smooth and efficient patient transfers

    8. Transport medical equipment, supplies, and other materials to and from designated locations within the hospital as needed.

    9. Utilize TeleTracking software to track equipment movement and ensure timely delivery.

    10. Assisting with patient admissions and discharges

    11. Providing support to other departments as needed

    Qualifications

    Required Education:

    + High School Graduate or Equivalent

    Preferred Education & Experience:

    + Former experience in a healthcare setting

    Required Licensure & Certifications:

    + BLS-CPR within 30 days of hire

    Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

    + Basic computer skills

    + Basic Customer Service Skills

    Pay Range

    $15.00 - $20.33 /hour
