    Position Description

    This position provides an excellent opportunity for a student to work with our Uptime Operations team as Operations Support Intern focused on Quality Assurance. You should be prepared to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment, gaining experience and knowledge in various aspects of critical product support including commonly occurring breakdowns and their causes with a mission of supporting customer-facing agents and service providers. As a valued member of Uptime Operations Support, you will have the opportunity to work directly with the breakdown agents and technical support specialists responsible for providing customer solutions. Our goal is to contribute to your development, as well as providing an opportunity for you to work in a business environment within the automotive manufacturing industry. This position will report to Senior Manager, Uptime Operations within Aftermarket Uptime Operations.

    Position Responsibilities

    • Work with business managers, Emergency Management Specialist (EMS) Agents, Technical Specialists and Fleet Support Specialists on a variety of tasks related to service information ranging from diagnosing common breakdown occurrences to hands-on automotive workshop activities with a focus on Quality program development.

    • Investigate and provide recommendations related to establishment of Quality program processes, metrics and identify training needs of front-line roles across multiple departments.

    • Support development of improvement efforts and formalization of an ongoing continuous improvement program.

    • Collaborate on internal and cross-functional process improvements connected to ways of working and customer interface.

    • Contribute to a positive working environment.

    Internship Education and Program Requirements

    • Applicant must be currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Business, Finance or related technical or engineering field at an accredited school and have completed 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies prior to the start of the internship. A passion for development, implementation and continuous improvement in Process Quality and efficiency is a big plus.

    • Fall internships can work up to 30 hours per week. A combination of on-site and remote may be allowed, to synchronize with the workforce schedule.

    • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75

    • Strong communication skills.

    • Valid US Work authorization. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $16.00 - $46.00. The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study.
