    Our client, a leader in facilities management, is seeking a Facilities Technician to join their team. As a Facilities Technician, you will be part of the operations team supporting the maintenance and repair of essential systems. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintenance which will align successfully in the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** Facilities Technician

    **Location:** Cambridge, MA

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Perform ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other installed systems.

    + Conduct assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions impacting client occupancy and operations.

    + Carry out general interior maintenance tasks, including hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture systems.

    + Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment as directed.

    + Complete Hazard Assessments as necessary and maintain compliance with safety procedures.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + A minimum of 1-3 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance.

    + Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.

    + Ability to recognize safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.

    + Experience with CMMS systems for work order management.

    + Strong communication skills to escalate problems or issues to management in a timely manner.
