Responsibilities

Lead assigned staff in performing activities or tasks in pharmacy services. Serve as a subject matter expert and provides guidance across pharmacies and to clinical leadership.

+ Lead or coordinate shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or associates.

+ Serve as a technical or functional resource and performs similar duties as associates they lead.

+ Assign, monitor and review progress of work. Monitor and reports compliance with policies and/orprocedures. May resolve scheduling issues.

+ Oversee daily activities of the pharmacy technicians under the direction of the pharmacists andmanagement.

+ Assist with specialty projects and tasks as assigned by Pharmacy management. Participate in problemsolving within the department.

+ Provide input into hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

+ One or more of the following required

+ Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

+ Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Florida Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

+ High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

Advanced Certified Pharmacy Technician

1 year hospital experience

Pyxis ES experience

Highly organized and self motivated
