    Responsibilities

    Oversee the market revenue cycle function to improve revenue cycle metrics by providing a

     

    centralized resource to improve revenue capture, cash payments, decrease denials, and guide operations towards higher levels of performance.

     

    + Lead revenue cycle stakeholder discussions in denials management and revenue enhancement activities.

    + Perform root-cause analysis to enhance processes.

    + Analyze and monitor key performance indicators to develop strategies to meet or exceed best practice performance.

    + Facilitate workgroups and develops/implements actionable strategies to maintain results with emphasis on an efficient and effective revenue cycle. Improve collections, reduce bad debt and denials, and create positive patient and provider experiences.

    + Act as an escalation resource to directly engage with payers to address aged and complex claims to resolution.

    + Create action plans around remediation of identified gaps to improve reimbursement. Work with key stakeholders to solve for gaps. Engage utilization management and physician advisors to identify and solve for gaps in workflow.

    + Identify opportunities to improve scheduled authorization success to prevent delays of service or denials.

    + Conduct hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.

    Requirements

    Education:

    + High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.

    Additional Preferences

    + 5+ years of progressive experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, including patient access, billing, coding, AR management and compliance.

    + 2+ years of leadership experience in a multi-site ambulatory or physician group setting.

    + Familiarity with EHR and revenue cycle systems

    + Strong knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, payor guidelines, billing compliance, and RCM performance metrics.

    + Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage operations, and drive measurable improvements in collections, denials, and cash flow.

    + Effective communicator and collaborator across clinical, administrative, and technical teams.

    + Strong Problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and lead performance improvement initiatives.

    + Proactive, accountable, and mission-driven leader with a commitment to patient-centered financial practices.

    + Experience supporting primary care or specialty clinic operations is a plus

    + Ability to work across departments and support organizational goals in a matrix-ed environment.

    + Understanding of value-based care, risk adjustment, and population health billing processes is highly desirable.
