    Our client, a leading provider in the food service industry, is seeking a Cook I to join their team. As a Cook I, you will be part of the culinary team supporting the cafeteria operations at Good Samaritan Hospital. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and a passion for preparing delicious meals that nourish and satisfy.

     

    **Job Title:** Institutional Cook

    **Location:** Mount Vernon, IL

    **Pay Range:** $15 per hour

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events.

    + Ensure all food items are prepared according to established recipes and standards.

    + Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas.

    + Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

    + Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and quality of meals.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + No prior experience is required; a willingness to learn and grow in the culinary field is essential.

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

    + Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

    + Commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.

    + Required uniform: Black Pants, Black Shirt, Black Slip-resistant Shoes.
